Story
In the northernmost part of the Chocó department, this significant conservation project is unfolding, covering 103,022 hectares of tropical rainforest. Its execution is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Community Council Costa Pacífica Norte del Chocó – Los Delfines and the Community Council Cupica, in partnership with BIOFIX.
The project aims to strengthen territorial governance, promote participatory reforestation, support community oversight, enhance the agricultural sector with productive processes related to coconut, annatto, ginger, and vanilla, ensure sustainability in forestry and fishing activities, and foster economic diversification through local ecotourism initiatives.
